We have an Apprenticeship opportunity in our Revenues Service where you’ll be working alongside experienced colleagues to gain valuable skills whilst studying for a professional qualification as a Revenues & Welfare Benefits Practitioner. This is a varied role in which you’ll be in regular contact with customers to deal with a range of enquiries, both over the phone and in writing, and involved in a variety of administrative support for the Service.
As part of the Hampshire Apprentice Partnership, we work with other local councils to deliver a skills training programme alongside your apprenticeship; providing you with an alternative learning journey to full time college or university. You’ll also have a mentor to support you in settling into the Council and your studies.
We place a high value on our apprentices being committed to their development, having a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude and an innovative approach. For this role, you’ll also need to demonstrate;
- An interest in the revenues and benefits environment;
- Minimum 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent);
- Excellent communication, organisational and team working skills.
