We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic and highly motivated Benefits professional to join our Benefits team and help us provide an efficient and effective benefits service to our customers.
You will be responsible for the assessment of council tax reduction and housing benefit and help provide information and advice to our customers. The job involves verifying information on application forms, checking benefit calculations and processing claims as well as responding to enquiries by email, letter, telephone and face to face situations.
You will be well organised and have relevant work experience and knowledge that is related to assessing housing benefit and council tax reduction, and the use of Northgate Benefits computer system would be desirable. In return we can offer you an interesting and challenging role.
Starting salary will be dependent on experience of assessing housing benefit and council tax reduction.
Home working may be considered.
