Recovery Officer
Runnymede Borough Council
Salary 20,803 - 25,352  Per annum for 37 hours per week
Permanent  37 hours
Leave From 23 days plus bank holidays
Closing Date  28/02/2018

This new role is designed to maximise the revenue and income the Council receives from the recovery of Business Rates and Council Tax using a variety of enforcement tools. The post-holder will also deal with the more difficult or complex recovery queries from both commercial and domestic customers. The successful applicant would also work with the Recovery Team Leader, partners and other staff to drive business transformation to support service improvement, challenging existing service delivery models and championing new ideas.

The successful applicant would have a flexible and adaptable working style, an ability to learn complex legislation and experience of working with various IT systems. Previous knowledge of Business rates or council tax legislation is desirable but not essential. Good numerical reasoning skills, an ability to work under pressure and a willingness to collaborate with innovative working methods are all essential. The post holder would also need to be well-organised, with good IT literacy and customer-relationship management skills. Interested?
