South Lakeland includes some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain, with large parts of the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks falling within its district. With its excellent quality of life, good road and rail links, good schools, and cultural heritage it is not difficult to see why it has recently been voted the best place to live in the UK.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Benefits professional to support the Revenues and Benefits Service Manager in the delivery of an effective service to the residents of South Lakeland District Council.
The role will be responsible for managing the performance of the teams, dealing with the assessment, payment and administration of Housing Benefit, including overpayments, Discretionary Housing Payments, Council Tax Reduction, Customer Service team and the Visiting team of the Revenues and Benefits department.
