This is a strategic leadership and transformation role, where you’ll have the opportunity to set a new standard in the design and delivery for Revenues and Benefits.
In leading a shared service across Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells, this is an opportunity to manage a large team with responsibility for council tax, business rates, enforcement, and counter fraud. As a customer facing service quality and innovation are key, with a strong commitment across the partner authorities to drive customer satisfaction, performance and cost savings through service automation and design.
Sharing services doesn’t mean that everyone has to do things in the same way.
In fact the success of Mid Kent Services (partnership between Maidstone, Swale and Tunbridge Wells) has been in no small part due to our commitment to tailoring solutions to each member organisation’s individual needs.
MKS is an innovative shared service model that has already delivered considerable savings for its members, while delivering high quality services that include Revenues & Benefits, HR, ICT, Planning Support, Legal and Audit Services. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to take on a leadership role across different organisations – but also to consider how we can expand and grow the service in the future.
This role is customer-facing and the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential element of the role.
