We are looking to fill a vacancy for a highly motivated individual who enjoys working in a challenging environment meeting deadlines to maximise revenue collection.
Duties are varied requiring an extensive set of skills knowledge and aptitude described within the job profiles.
You will be:
- able to utilise computerised account systems, to accurately maintain Business Rates and Council Tax records, to retrieve information and initiate recovery procedures.
- able to communicate effectively to liaise with colleagues and respond to customer enquiries, including those of a more complex and contentious nature, and complaints.
- able to manage your own workload recognising the need to prioritise work in a changeable environment and to keep fully up to date with legislation and case law.
- expected to represent the Council at Court to secure Summonses, Liability Orders and Means Inquiries in the recovery of Business Rates and Council Tax.
