Your role

Stockport Council’s Revenues and Benefits department is a fast paced and exciting place to work. You will be working with an ambitious award winning team providing an important service to the residents of Stockport.

The Council is committed to staff development, providing a number of training opportunities as well as career progression. It is also a really exciting time to join us as we are currently undergoing a huge digital transformation improving our online offer to provide the best for our residents.  

About you

We are looking to appoint a number Revenues & Benefits Officers. You will be required administer Housing Benefit applications, or Council Tax and Business Rates accounts. If you don’t have any knowledge of these areas, we will help you to develop the skills and experience you already have.

If you have had a career break and not worked in a Local Authority for a while your skills may be a bit rusty but we can soon get you back up to speed.   We are also keen to speak to people who have worked in similar data processing roles for example within the Civil Service, tax, insurance or banking industry.

Salary will be dependent on experience.
