The successful candidate will be joining a high performing Benefits Service, working with a wide range of Council departments, partners and community groups to ensure claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support are assessed accurately and in a timely manner.
You will have excellent communication and customer care skills in a variety of situations and have the ability to work with little supervision. The role will include assessment of benefit claims and speaking to customers both face to face and over the phone.
A good understanding of benefits legislation would be advantageous, however training will be given to the right candidates.
