Within the Revenues Services department, our council tax and business rates team prides itself on excellent customer care and achieves collection rates in excess of 99%.
The main duties involve dealing with customers either in person or by telephone, processing valuation banding changes and changes of customer details, making and changing payment arrangements and helping with recovery of unpaid Council Tax. Other duties attached to the post involve assisting with direct debit maintenance and cash reconciliation.
You will have good literacy, numeracy and IT skills (evidenced by at least five GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English). To complement our high achieving team you will also demonstrate excellent customer service and should ideally possess previous Council Tax, business rates or general administration experience.
